39-year-old Kaleub Jones was charged with domestic assault after he whacked his girlfriend in the back of the head causing her to bleed during a dispute about his missing items.
On October 25th, Shelby County Sheriff’s Deputy Harris was dispatched to the residence located at 5535 Riverdale Road in response to a report of an assault. When deputies arrived, they made contact with Jennifer Brasher who claimed she and her boyfriend, Kaleub Jones, were having an argument inside of her house. She stated that Kaleub asked her if she had a couple of his items.
Jennifer claimed he hit her in the head with an unidentified object after she denied having his items. She also stated that he threatened to cut her. When she told him that she was bleeding, he checked the back of her head and left to retrieve bandages. Jennifer told officers she wanted to go somewhere safe and was notably uncomfortable talking about the incident in front of her boyfriend. An officer trailed her to an undisclosed location and Kaleub was taken into custody.
Kaleub Jones was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. He was released on a $2,000 bond.
