46-year-old Steven Kenton was arrested for domestic assault when he got physical and hit his nephew for not giving him money for cigarettes.

On October 15th, Shelby County Sheriff Deputies Gore, Jones, Trent, and Palmer responded to the address of 5724 Morning Flower Drive for a domestic assault. When the deputies arrived, they spoke to Philip Toombs. He said that his uncle, Steven Kenton, slapped him in the head after an argument.

The argument, Toombs continued, was about how he would not give Steven five dollars to purchase a pack of cigarettes. After leaving the scene, Deputy Trent located Kenton walking on Pecan Trace near Old Brownsville.

Steven Kenton was arrested and charged with domestic assault-bodily harm. He was released on his own recognizance.
