Man found with weed after slamming woman’s head into a wall

33-year-old Michael Ferguson was charged with domestic assault, possession of a handgun, and marijuana after he slammed a woman’s head into a wall, put a gun in a freezer, and exposed marijuana inside his car.

On October 26th, Memphis Police Officers Jones and Harper arrived at the residence of 326 South Parkway East in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, Officer Jones reported Michael Ferguson placing a black handgun in a freezer as he argued with Tia Bell. Bell stated Ferguson grabbed her by her throat and slammed her head against a wall. Officers detailed scratches and bruises on Bell’s neck.

Bell told officers Ferguson had a gun and after giving officers permission to search, they found a black Glock 23 Gen4 .40 S&W handgun in a freezer. When Ferguson was arrested, he advised officers his Black Cadillac ATS4 was still running and after going to his car, they found a baggie of marijuana on the dashboard. Officers also reported Ferguson to be on probation for seven years and two months because of an aggravated robbery in 2010.

Michael Ferguson was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun, marijuana, and domestic assault. He was later released on a $15,000 bond.
