27-year-old Jardin Pondexter was arrested and charged with domestic assault after he dragged his ex-girlfriend out of her job, threatened to shoot her, and punched her in the face.
On October 21, Memphis Police Officers Brown and Turner arrived at Memphis Towers located at 1081 Court Avenue and met with Stephanie Alexander. She stated that she was at work when Jardin Pondexter arrived. He grabbed her by her hair and dragged her down the sidewalk to his car after he saw her talking to another man, she said.
When they arrived at his vehicle, she said that Podexter threatened to shoot her if she did not get in. Stephanie reported that she did not see any weapons on him. After she denied getting into his vehicle, he started to punch her in the face. Officers did report she had bruising to her right eye and left ear. Her written statement included all of the events that she told police as well as him stating that he was going to “beat her ass.” The two have been linked in seven other prior reports filed in Memphis.
Jardin Pondexter was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $1,000 bond.
