Two charged after stealing a welder and a grinder form Home Depot

32-year-old Tanshika Sanders and 31-year-old Christopher Windfield were charged with theft of merchandise after they stole a welder and a grinder from Home Depot, per report.

On November 13th, Memphis Police officers arrived at Home Depot, located at 4950 Stage Road, in response to a shoplifting call. Upon arrival, Loss Prevention Officer Dectrick Thomas identified Tanshika Sanders and Christopher Windfield as the shoplifters.

Per the report, Thomas informed the police they put a welder and a grinder in a basket and proceeded to exit through the front of the store without purchasing the items. He advised he detained Sanders and Windfield but had to release them before the police arrived due to Home Depot’s hold policy. It was noted that the total value of the merchandise stolen was $788. The incident was captured on the Home Depot surveillance system.

Tanshika Sanders was arrested and charged with theft of merchandise. She was released on her own recognizance.

Christopher Windfield was arrested and charged with theft of merchandise. He was released on a $500 bond.
