21-year-old Jennifer Jones was charged with domestic assault after she threw an orange at her boyfriend during an argument about their baby.
On October 30th, Memphis Police Officer Collier arrived at the residence of 847 Leon Place in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, Marco Hughlett advised he got into an argument with his girlfriend, Jennifer Jones, over their baby going outside without clothes on. He reported the argument got heated and Jones threw an orange at him.
Jones confirmed they did get into an argument but said he called their child a bad word, which resulted in her throwing an orange at him. They both also stated Hughlett then grabbed a belt and hit her after she threw the orange but Jones was deemed the primary aggressor.
Jennifer Jones was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
