Per the affidavit, Detectives Fleener and Holmes immediately smelled what they knew to be marijuana emanating from the car. Both parties were asked to exit the vehicle. Upon a pat-down search, Detective Holmes felt a small bulge in Naia’s front waistband which was revealed to be a small clear bag with marijuana inside. The detectives then asked her if she had any more on her, to which she pulled a larger bag of marijuana and a “blunt” out of her bra. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that she had two more clear bags of marijuana inside her purse. Naia told the detectives it was all hers and that Chandler had no knowledge of it. The total amount of marijuana on her person was 21.6 grams.

Naia Lang was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. She was later released on a $3,000 bond.
