Woman charged after stealing $1449.91 worth of items from Home Depot

37-year-old Paula Dean was charged with theft of property after she posed as an employee of Home Depot, filled a basket up of items, and walked out of the store without paying for them, per report.

On November 20th, Memphis Police Officer Marks was dispatched to Home Depot located at 3469 Riverdale Road in regards to a theft call. The officer’s report stated that Paula Dean entered the Home Depot wearing an employee apron.

She then walked around the business with a cart and loaded items totaling in $1449.91 and then walked out of the store passing the points of sale. According to the report, loss prevention stopped Dean and escorted her to their office until the police arrived.

Paula Dean was arrested and charged with theft of property. She was later released on her own recognizance.
