Man charged after being found slouched over steering wheel of stolen vehicle

20-year-old Jermario Johnson was charged with theft of property after he was reported slumped over in a stolen Honda Accord for two days, per report.

On November 26th, Memphis Police responded to a call at the residence of 2642 West Barbara Circle. Upon arrival, a security guard of the apartment complex, Phillip Williams, stated that he received a complaint that someone was slumped over the steering wheel in a vehicle for two days.

Jermario Johnson was reported sitting inside a white Honda Accord that had Mississippi tags. Williams said he had to bang on the window very aggressively to wake Johnson up and that he was very incoherent. Further investigation revealed the Honda to be stolen and worth $3,611, according to Kelly Blue Book.

Jermario Johnson was arrested and charged with theft of property. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
