Upon arrival, Officers Guzman and Gray noticed a bruise on Jaime’s forehead and he was bleeding from his nose and mouth. Jessica advised she was not home when Jonathan and Jaime started fighting and went back to the house because Jaime called her, saying Jonathan assaulted him. As she arrived to get Jonathan out of her home, he punched her on the back of her head.

Jaime stated Jonathan had been drinking and started punching him for no reason. Jonathan admitted he had been drinking, however, Jaime was drinking with him and told him to leave. He claimed Jaime tried to hit him first and retaliated in self-defense.

Jonathan Cantu was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,000 bond.
