Angelica Mcwright assaults neighbor after being confronted about a parking spot

27-year-old Angelica Mcwright was caught after assaulting someone near Imogene Street on March 18th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Chasity Parker, who stated that when she arrived home that day, she observed a resident of the Imogene Street apartment residence parked in the no-parking zone. Parker then claims she walked to the apartment to request the owner to move their vehicle. Parker told officers that when she began walking back to the parking lot, Mcwright followed her and began arguing. Parker claimed that during the argument, she turned her back in, which Mcwright had pushed her before beginning to swing at her while she was on the ground.

Officers photographed Parker’s injuries, which were minor lacerations and bruising under both her eyes. On March 20th, the landlord, Greg McGowan, reviewed the video of Parker and Mcwright fighting in the parking lot. It showed Parker turning around and being pushed by Mcwright. McGowan provided resident information for Mcwright to officers. On March 24th, Parker gave a video statement of the events that had occurred and identified Mcwright as the one who was responsible for the assault. A warrant was issued, and Mcwright was taken into custody on May 8th.

Angelica Lashae Wright of Madewell Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 8th, charged with assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $350.
