22-year-old Kristin McFaden was seen publicly intoxicated and hitting officers at a Cochran Street residence on May 20th. When officers arrived on the scene they spoke with McFaden and noticed the smell of alcohol on her as well as her slurred speech. McFaden told officers that she had been drinking patron with her friend. Officers deemed her too drunk for her own safety and attempted to take her into custody, causing her to become irate. Officers took McFaden to a Mental health institution located near Court Avenue to detox her. The staff at the institute attempted to treat McFaden, but due to her behavior, they told officers, “You all could take her to jail.” As officers attempted to put McFaden back into the police vehicle, she kicked an officer in the left side of the face. McFaden was then taken to the station and charged with Assault against a first responder and reckless endangerment.
Kristin Victoria McFaden of Morning Hill Drive in Cordova, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 20th, charged with assault against first responder and reckless endangerment. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $750.
