23-year-old April Raber was charged with aggravated assault after a verbal argument with her sister over money turned into face hitting and strangulation to the point of her “fading in and out of consciousness”, per report.
On March 29th, police responded to a domestic disturbance on Tahiti Lane. Darby Mason stated she was involved in an argument with her sister, April Raber, over money. She went on to say the argument escalated physically when April backed her into a corner.
Darby attempted to get out of the corner and April struck her in the face then began strangling her with both hands, according to the affidavit. Darby told police that she was drifting in and out of consciousness while she was being choked. Police observed visible injuries to Darby’s face and neck. April was then taken into custody and transported to booking.
April Raber was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
