22-year-old Devin Isby was charged with aggravated assault and vandalism after his child’s mother reported to police that he vandalized her car by cutting three tires and damaging the side mirror and then threatened her with a box cutter, per report.
On April 25th, Kyla Mitchell reported to police that Devin Isby, her child’s father, vandalized her car by cutting three of her tires and damaging her side mirror. She provided a bank statement to police showing she paid $122.95 to have the damages repaired. She also provided a bill of sale and title to prove she was the only owner of the 2002 Honda Accord.
On April 26th, she reported to police that while Devin was vandalizing her car, he also threatened to kill her with an orange box cutter he was holding during the incident. Kyla stated this placed her in fear of serious bodily injury and death.
On April 27th, Kyla went to the Domestic Violence Bureau where she positively identified a photo of the person that vandalized her car and threatened her with a box cutter as Devin Isby and provided police a written and signed statement. Officers detained Devin Isby on the scene and he was armed with a knife at that time.
Devin Isby was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and vandalism. His bond was set at $4,000.
