28-year-old Laron Moon was charged with domestic assault after attacking his ex-girlfriend in the bathroom of a Valero gas station until a store clerk intervened and separated them, per report.
On June 19th, Officer Douglas was dispatched to the Valero gas station located on 853 S Highland St in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, Douglas made contact with Nikkta Frye, who informed law enforcement that she and ex-boyfriend Laron Moon had been involved in an altercation. According to the affidavit, Frye and Moon initiated a dispute while en route to a Valero gas station. Frye felt threatened by Moon and, once arriving at the convenience store, retreated to the bathroom in order to contact the police. While in the bathroom, Moon reportedly began to bang on the door while continually threatening the woman. After Frye refused to exit the restroom, Moon kicked in the door and attacked the woman, resulting in scratches on her neck, per report.
Zach Sheriff, a store clerk at the convenience store, pulled Moon off of Frye and removed him from the building. Frye denied medical treatment and would later complete a hold harmless form for the assault. As Frye was being transported back to her residence, Moon was identified and placed into custody for domestic assault.
Laron Moon was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,000.
