Dispute over game controller becomes ‘Mortal Kombat’ when man attacks roommate and boyfriend

29-year-old Andrew Bunk was charged with two counts of domestic assault when his female roommate and her boyfriend said he attacked them during an argument over the delivery of a game controller.

On July 12th, Officer Fox arrived at 244 North Bellevue Avenue in response to a suspected assault against Caitlyn Berryhill and her boyfriend, Alejandro Resendez. During their statement, the victims recounted getting into a verbal altercation with Andrew Bunk in regard to the delivery of a video game controller. Andrew escalated the disagreement, striking Alejandro in the face and instigating a struggle between the two of them. Caitlyn intervened in the exchange and was struck by Andrew in the process. Finally, she contacted 911 to report the incident.

Officer Fox noted that Alejandro Resendez had received a bloody nose during the altercation, but he did not wish to seek medical attention. It was determined that Andrew Bunk was the primary aggressor in the feud and he was placed under arrest. Following his arrest, he was transported to Regional One Health Medical Center for his wounds to be treated before being taken to 201 Poplar for processing.

Andrew Bunk was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
