Memphis man uses tape and a knife to kidnap roommate, steals his Cricket phone and $38

43-year-old Eric Lee was charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery after holding a roommate against his will inside their Frayser home for approximately one hour. Lee reportedly restrained the man with medical tape and threatened him with a knife, per report.

On July 1st, officers were dispatched to the Marathon Gas Station located on 2864 Thomas Street in regards to an emergency call. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with Bradley Gosha, who informed officers that he had been robbed and kidnapped by his roommate, Eric Lee. According to the affidavit, Lee had held Gosha against his will inside the residence of 3221 Madewell Street for one hour.

Lee contained Gosha by restraining the man’s hands with medical tape. In addition, Lee held a knife to the throat of Gosha throughout the incident. Lee eventually took some of Gosha’s belongings, stealing $38 and a Cricket cell phone. The man was able to escape by convincing Lee to set the man free. Following Gosha’s departure, the man fled to the gas station and contacted law enforcement.

Eric Lee was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $40,000.
