25-year-old Stephan Leggett was charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm after he pushed his girlfriend into a wall in front of company, then punched her several times when she tried to get away, and then punched her again when she came back to get her stuff.
On August 15th, Officer Williams responded to a simple assault at 1164 Goodman Street. When Williams arrived on the scene, Shanteria Moore stated that her boyfriend Stephan Leggett had assaulted her. She stated that Leggett was verbally abusing her in front of their guests as well as attempting to show out in front of them. Leggett demanded Moore lower her voice and got upset. Shortly after, he became enraged and he pushed her against the wall multiple times.
The couple’s company was able to pry him off of her and she ran outside. Leggett followed closely behind and hit her several more times with a closed fist. He returned to the house and Moore followed behind him. She began to collect some of her things and attempted to leave the house. Leggett then started to hit and kick her several more times. Moore escaped his clutches and locked herself in the bathroom until police arrived.
Stephan Leggett was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. His bond was set at $500.
