34-year-old Pheshawnio Aldridge was charged with aggravated assault when a verbal argument turned to a serious bodily injury at a Lakeland motel.
On October 7th, Memphis Police Department Detective Beans began an investigation of an assault on Joshua Beasley. Detective Beans spoke with Ariel Ateneio and Kelly Garada when he arrived. They stated that Joshua Beasley had gotten into a verbal altercation with Pheshawnio Aldridge at the Econo Lodge located at 9822 Huff N Puff Road.

Videos from the scene showed Aldridge striking Beasley in the face with a closed fist causing him to hit his head on the pavement and lose consciousness. Aldridge was not on the scene when deputies had arrived. Beasley was transported to Baptist East and was listed in critical condition with a brain bleed and a spinal fluid leak.
Pheshawnio Aldridge was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He remains jailed in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
