Felon threatens to shoot her cousin; gets told “do it or leave”

34-year-old Lakeesha Williams was charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a handgun after pointing a handgun at her “real” cousin and threatening to shoot.

On September 27th, Memphis Police Officers were dispatched to The Chickasaw Place Apartments for an aggravated assault call. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Lakaisha Adair. She stated that she was walking to her car when her cousins, Lakeesha Williams and Shalee Johnson, pulled up in a motor vehicle. The affidavit makes special mention that Williams and Shalee are Adair’s actual cousins. Adair stated they blocked her car in and being arguing. Adair stated that during the argument Williams pulled a black and silver handgun and cocked it.

While pointing the gun at Adair, Willimas yelled, “I’m about to shoot you”. Adair told her if she is going to shoot, then do it or leave. When they pulled away, Adair called the police. During the investigation, it was found that Williams had been convicted of aggravated robbery. On October 13th, Lakeisha was brought in for questioning. She admitted to being inside the apartments and in an argument with her cousin, but denied having a gun.

Lakeesha Williams was charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a handgun. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
