30-year-old Alniko Richards was charged with aggravated statutory rape after he admitted to having sex with a 16-year-old girl in a hotel room.
On October 22nd, Memphis Police Officers were dispatched to 1400 block of East Brooks Road for a statutory rape call. Upon arrival, contact was made with Antoinette Williams who stated the 16-year-old juvenile girl went missing.
Officers later viewed security footage that showed the juvenile go into room 314. Contact was made with Alniko Richards by the officers, who said that he had sex with the 16-year-old girl that was in his room. When the police spoke to her, she confirmed that they had sex. She underwent an examination at Rape Crisis to gather evidence.
Alniko Richards was arrested and charged with aggravated statutory rape. He was released on a $5,000 bond.
