Man charged after crashing vehicle and chasing paramedics around on foot

24-year-old Blake Rawls was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of a highway after he struck a pole with his vehicle, fought with officers, and ran in and out of traffic at the intersection of Mt. Moriah Road and Wilbec Road.

On November 14th, Memphis Police Officer Williams dispatched to the intersection of Mt. Moriah and Wilbec in regards to an accident. The driver of a four-door sedan, Blake Rawls, had struck a pole.

According to the officer’s report, Rawls was causing a disturbance by chasing paramedics, fighting officers that were on the scene, and running in and out of traffic. Rawls was transported to 201 Poplar after being taken into custody.

Blake Rawls was arrested and charged with obstruction of a highway or passageway and disorderly conduct. He was later released on a $100 bond.
