34-year-old Erin Brasfield was charged with possession of Fentanyl after she was reportedly seen walking from a semi-truck in a high prostitution area and found to have an out of state warrant and .2 grams of Fentanyl on her person.
On November 26th, Memphis Police Officers Tulo and Stubbs arrived at Marathon gas station, located at 3465 Lamar Avenue, in response to a drug violation call. While on patrol in the area of Lamar Ave, which was reported as a high crime, drug, and prostitution area, the officers identified Erin Brasfield walking from a semi-truck.
As they made contact with Brasfield, she admitted to soliciting prostitution, and further investigation revealed that she had a warrant out of Texas for prostitution. After she was detained, the officers asked if she had any drugs, and she advised there was “fen” in her front right pocket. They then retrieved a plastic bag from her pocket that contained 0.2 grams of Fentanyl.
Erin Brasfield was arrested and charged with possession of Fentanyl. She was released on a $5,000 bond, and her warrant out of Texas was dismissed due to her being in custody in Memphis.
