Woman ransacks home and steals vehicle only to return later

28-year-old Kiara Neely was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property after reportedly stealing a car from a home, coming back to return it, and then breaking in through a window.

On November 29th, witness Kmaryn Nelms reportedly saw Kiara Neely ransacking her sister, Kimberly Nelms’, residence, and she noticed that Kimberly’s keys were missing. Per the affidavit, Kiara was confronted about the missing keys before fleeing the scene in Kimberly’s 2008 Dodge Avenger, valued at an estimated $5,225.

Later that evening, Kiara returned to give back the car and then made to leave the residence. Kiara grabbed a pipe, took the AC unit out of the window, and came in while threatening to do bodily harm to Kimberly and another witness, Jai Tilson. When she entered the residence, she was detained by witness Mikavious Jenkins until authorities arrived.

Kiara Neely was arrested with active warrants for theft of merchandise and theft of property. She was additionally charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $7,600 bond.
