19-year-old Cedric Williamson was charged with trafficking for commercial sex acts and promoting prostitution of a 16-year-old girl. This was all due to a phone call made from the victim’s mother, who stated that she was held against her will and physically abused.
On April 15th, after receiving the phone call from the victim’s mom, deputies found the victim at a Relax Inn unharmed. According to police, she seemingly there on her own free will. When deputies investigated further they found that the victim was currently listed on several escort websites that featured her nude photographs.
Inside the hotel was the suspect, Cedric Williamson, and the victim, who were transported to separate locations by deputies. She was sent to a Rape Crisis Center where she did not consent to being tested because she stated that she was not a victim of sexual assault. She was later officially released into her mother’s custody. Cedric was transported to the Sheriff’s office at 201 Poplar and detectives decided to file charges against him.
Cedric Williamson was arrested and charged with trafficking for commercial sex acts and promoting prostitution. His bond was set at $100,000.
