Woman arrested for stealing $5.88 worth of socks from Walmart

18-year-old Ja’Mia Estell was charged with criminal trespass and theft of property after she attempted to steal a $5.88 pack of socks from Walmart on Elvis Presley Boulevard.

On August 9th, Officer Piantedosi was dispatched to a shoplifting at Walmart on Elvis Presley Blvd. Officer arrived on the scene and spoke with Loss Prevention Korrey Wilson who advised he observed Ja’Mia Estell walk past the last point of sale with socks that she did not purchase.

Estell was detained and had a pair of socks hidden in her pants which were confiscated by loss prevention. The pack of socks in question cost $5.88 plus tax. Estell was not being forthcoming with her information but it was later found that she had already been banned from Walmart due to a shoplifting incident that occurred on February 23rd.

Ja’Mia Estell was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and theft of property. She was later released on her own recognizance.
