Reckless driver stopped after almost colliding with two elderly men

24-year-old Edmond Stewart was charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving after he swerved in and out of traffic, ran a red light, and almost hit two elderly men crossing the street.

On August 29th, officers saw a Ford Mustang with Arkansas tags driving recklessly in the Airways area. The driver of the vehicle, Edmond Stewart, was seen making a U-turn on Lamar and swerving in and out of traffic. The Mustang ran a red light and almost hit two elderly men crossing the street.

Steward made no attempt to slow or stop for the pedestrians or the red light and continued driving recklessly until he was stopped at Lamar near Garfield. Stewart was shortly taken into custody after the stop.

Edmond Stewart was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and reckless driving. His bond was set at $2,000.
