Two charged when found with meth, heroin, and marijuana

54-year-old Michael Posey and 51-year-old George Bargery were charged with possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia after they both denied ownership of the several bags of drugs found in their vehicle.

On November 14th, Memphis Police Officers Brown, Schwab, Nowell, and Hawthorne initiated a traffic stop on a green Dodge Ram with a broken tag light and a dirty tag on Chelsea Avenue and North Hollywood Street.

During the traffic stop, the driver, George Bargery, was revealed to be a repeat offender of driving with a revoked license. Officer Nowell stated that during the search, he found a glass pipe with methamphetamine on the passenger floor, another glass pipe under the seat, and a cigar pack containing a crack pipe in between the seat and the center console. They also found a bag of marijuana, a cigarette pack with marijuana and meth, and a bag of heroin in the center console. The officers also reported a glass pipe inside of a shoe on the driver’s rear floorboard. Posey and Bargery did not claim ownership of any of the drugs and were taken into custody.

Michael Posey was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.

George Bargery was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $7,500 bond.
