Memphis woman takes ‘duckface’ mugshot after DUI arrest

Mikayla Coleman was charged with driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, public intoxication, driving while license suspended, and violation of financial law after being involved in a vehicle accident and officers conducted a field sobriety test and discovered her license to be suspended.

On April 27th, Officers Harris and Braxton were called to Horn Lake Road and Shelby Drive in reference to a vehicle crash and possible DUI. Upon arrival, officers noted that Mikayla Coleman had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet.

Officers conducted field sobriety tests and they observed involuntary jerking of her eyes. When Mikayla was searched in NCIC, officers discovered her driver’s license was suspended in October 2016 due to the accumulation of points and she was unable to provide proof of insurance.

Mikayla was then taken for a blood draw by search warrant and was transported to Regional One for medical evaluation before being transported to Jail East.

Mikayla Coleman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, failure to exercise due care, public intoxication, driving while license suspended, and violation of financial law. She was later released on her own recognizance.
