30-year-old Gloria Jones was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest when she attempted to lock herself inside of the house with a knife to keep her boyfriend from leaving while police were present.
On September 6th, Officer D. Currie was dispatched to 414 North Ericson in reference to an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, contact was made with Jamie Neely who reported his girlfriend Gloria Jones was threatening him with a knife also advising she has a firearm in the house. As Neely attempted to get his belongings, Gloria then became irritated and started refusing his entry.
Gloria then started throwing Jamie’s property as Officer Currie continually advised her to allow Jamie to get his belongings and leave. In the middle of Jamie gathering his belongings, Gloria then ran in the house and locked the door, grabbed a knife, and wedged inside the door locking her and the officer inside. Jamie then used his key and the knife fell out the door. Gloria was told by Officer Currie to back away from reaching for it. She then started yelling at the officer while refusing to cooperate and brandished a knife twice.
Gloria Jones was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $100.
