21-year-old Tialandria Daniels was caught stealing on October 14th. Law enforcement cited her for the violation, but she failed to appear on November 30th. She was then taken into custody and charged on May 7th.

Cynthia Gooch refuses to leave hotel on Lamar Avenue, tells police she owns it

37-year-old Cynthia Gooch was seen trespassing at a hotel near Lamar Avenue on May 7th. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Morris Marvin, the hotel manager, who stated that Gooch was loitering on the property and refusing to leave. Officers then asked her to leave, but she refused. Officers asked her multiple times to leave, but she stated that she was not going to leave and that she owned the property. Officers then took Gooch into custody for trespassing.

Sheritta Barnes jailed for committing theft in April

41-year-old Sheritta Barnes failed to appear in court on April 22nd. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest, and Barnes was taken into custody for theft on May 7th.

Jeosha Jones steals $1,848 worth of merchandise from two establishments in April

31-year-old Jeosha Jones stole merchandise from the North Germantown Parkway Macy’s on April 12th. Shawn Higginbotham, a loss prevention specialist, alerted the authorities, advising them that Jones entered the establishment, concealed the items in a Spencer’s bag, and “stashed” it near the exit doors. She then pulled her black Toyota Avalon to the entrance, grabbed the bag, and left the location with $1,200 worth of stolen property.

On April 15th, Jesse Malone, a loss prevention agent at the Highway 64 Target, reported a theft on April 12th. He stated that Jones and another unidentified female arrived in her black Toyota Avalon, entered the business, and started selecting merchandise and putting it in large reusable Target bags before exiting the establishment with $648 worth of items. The incident was captured on camera.

On April 16th, officers ran the Toyota tags, which returned as registered to Jones, prompting them to compare her photos with the surveillance from the occurrences. Higginbotham and Malone identified her in a 6-person lineup. Jones was then taken into custody for two counts of theft on May 7th.

Emma Smith shoots at minor at North Watkins Family Dollar

25-year-old Emma Smith had an altercation with Rodneisha Mitchell and a minor female, A.F., at the North Watkins Family Dollar on May 1st. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Mitchell and A.F., who stated that they observed Smith in the parking lot near a tow truck in front of the establishment. Since she previously threatened Mitchell and wanted to fight, they entered the location to try to avoid confrontation. Mitchell provided officers with photos of the threats she sent her.

When they exited Family Dollar, Smith shouted, “What’s up? You want to jack,” before pulling out a handgun, firing a shot, and pulling off in a white sedan. Officers reviewed surveillance, which showed them exiting the store and looking toward the tow truck. Then, A.F. was ducking and running in the opposite direction of the white sedan, speeding toward them. They later identified Smith in a 6-person lineup. During the interview, Mitchell said that Smith was trying to retaliate against her for a fight in December 2023. Then, A.F. said the incident made her feel like her life was in danger, adding that she and her sister could have been struck by gunfire. Smith was then taken into custody for two counts of reckless endangerment.

Kayla Wells shoots man in leg after firing multiple shots at two individuals

22-year-old Kayla Antonette Wells shot four to five times at Quakerriney Farmer and Travis Griffin near Dellwood Avenue Apartments on April 14th. When officers arrived, Griffin advised them that Wells had shot him. Then, Farmer, a friend and neighbor of Wells, said she had come over to talk to her about her boyfriend, Jumarion White, during which she “got up in her face” and started shouting at her. Farmer said she pushed her back to get her out of her face, and Griffin intervened.

Farmer stated Wells then pulled out a gun and fired a shot in the air before shooting at her and Griffin multiple times as they retreated to the apartment. One shot went through the door and hit Griffin in the leg. Farmer added that her 3-month-old infant was in her apartment unit while Wells was shooting and chasing them toward their front door. They identified Wells as the shooter in a six-person line-up, and then she was taken into custody for three counts of reckless endangerment on May 7th.

Keyrah Hite booked on citation for reckless driving

19-year-old Keyrah Hite was driving without a license on October 6th, 2023. Hite was also observed recklessly driving and violating financial law. Law enforcement cited her for the violation, and she was booked on the citation on April 27th, 2024, but failed to appear.

Keionna Hampton threatens to shoot her ex-boyfriend’s sister and her child

31-year-old Keionna Hampton was caught assaulting and harassing Sharmekia Bland, her ex-boyfriend’s sister. On April 8th, 2023, Bland reported a harassment and assault report to officers, stating that Hampton had been harassing her over the phone. Bland then claimed she had received over one hundred texts and 50 phone calls from Hampton in less than 24 hours. She provided evidence and showed officers text messages from Hampton where Hampton threatened to shoot her and her children if she ever saw them outside their residence. Hampton has a long history of harassment and assault. Officers took her into custody on April 27th, 2024, and she was charged with harassment and assault.

Lashundra Crowder strangles boyfriend during argument

24-year-old Lashundra Crowder was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Aaron Neal, at the intersection of Park Avenue and Cherry Road on April 27th. Neal contacted law enforcement and stated that he and Crowder were arguing in her car. Crowder then began talking to him about an undisclosed location, so he asked to be let out of the vehicle. According to Neal, when Crowder pulled over, she put her hand around his neck and started strangling him. Neal was able to get away, but Crowder ended up ripping his shirt. Officers then made contact with Crowder, who stated that after arguing with Neal for an unknown reason, Neal strangled her. The primary aggressor could not be determined, so both individuals were taken into custody. Lashundra Crowder was transported into booking, where she was charged with domestic assault.

Alexus Ware assaults boyfriend after she finds him texting other women

23-year-old Alexus Ware was involved in a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Deundre Briggs, at a Marsonne Street residence on April 27th, 2024. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Ware, who stated that she saw Briggs had been texting other women. She asked Briggs about the messages, which led to an argument, so she tried to get her things and leave, but Briggs grabbed her items and prevented her from leaving.

Ware then claimed that Briggs grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against the wall before he threw her and the rest of her stuff outside the residence. Officers noticed that Ware had no bruising or marks on her body but had bruising on the back of her arms and minor cuts on her arm and finger. Officers then spoke with Briggs, who stated that Ware had gone through his phone and observed him talking to another woman. Briggs then claimed Ware threw his phone at him and began to hit him several times. He then told her to grab her items and leave, and as he picked them up to set them outside, she assaulted him once more. Briggs admitted that he picked Ware up and placed her outside before officers arrived. The officers observed his injuries and reviewed a video that captured the moment that Briggs asked Ware to leave. Officers noticed that he had an injury to his eye, his shirt was stretched, and that he had a cut on the inner part of his lip. Officers deemed Ware to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault.
